Meet the Writers

Lizette and Ashley-Nicole have been best friends for a little over half their lives! They consider themselves sisters rather than best friends because friends come and go but sisters are together for life. They decided to make A Girl’s Guide To Whatever to help out other girls that may be in need of a little guidance with everyday life. They enjoy spending lots of time together doing silly and fun things (like texting each other even though they are sitting next to one another). They hope you enjoy the guide!

Lizette Gagne

Lizette, a native Floridian, is currently a college student majoring in Cinematography and minoring in Marketing. She is a freelance web/graphic designer. Lizette has a passion for making short films, which she acts, produces and edits herself, including her Twitter recap series, Tweecap. Vlogging, blogging, and shopping are other activities she enjoys. Lizette is manically obsessed with Twitter (hence her Tweecap). She loves spending time, brainstorming new ideas, laughing, and jumping up and down with her sweet hunny, Alex. She amuses herself with drawing, playing Xbox, writing and playing with her highly energetic and  adorable chihuahua, Coco.

Her pet peeves are the fart sound that comes out when you blow air between your lips (this somehow makes her nerves quiver), when people chew gum with their mouths open, don’t use their blinkers while switching lanes, when clothes come out of the dryer half wet and half dry, when flat irons make your hair smell like re-fried smoke, when her iPhone loses service/freezes, when there are no drinks at home, when clothing designers don’t make a pair of pants that are a perfect fit for everyone. She won’t sacrifice the comfort of her tootsies just for fashion.

She considers herself an expert Googler, “if [she] can’t find the right answer, then no one can.” Since she considers Ashley her sister, then her iPhone, Macbook Pro and other technological gadgets are her best friends.  Carmél Brulée Lattes from Starbucks (yummm) are her weakness! She loves Apple products (the company not the fruit) and she’s been dreaming since she was little that she would move to California even though Ashley protests with a whole bunch of “NOs”!

Ashley-Nicole Chaney

Originally from Monroe Township, New Jersey, Ashley-Nicole is currently a college student majoring in Elementary education and minoring in Special Education. The sound of the cash register is exciting for her due to her love for stimulating the economy (no matter what her Husband says). DIY arts & crafts (a.k.a going to stores and seeing how she can make it herself cheaper) is exciting for her. Visiting Mickey Mouse and being a huge Disney fan (visiting the homeland at least six times a year) consume her everyday life.

She loves her adorable Shih-Tzus – Ellie Chanel, Bridget Prada and Theodore (she enjoys helping the economy out so much she decided to use her dogs as walking advertisements). She enjoys Starbucks Iced Green tea on daily basis. While Ashley-Nicole craves healthy eating, candy calls her name a little too often. Her iPhone is glued to her hand at all times. In fact, she may not be able to function without it.

Goggle is her best friend (constantly Googling random information she needs to know). She believes in being organizationally messy and showing up at least 15-20 minutes late for everything (she’s not rude or careless, she just thinks when you say the start time for something is 11:00 that means she shouldn’t leave ’till 11:00). She is terrified of bugs. The sound of sloshing spaghetti, people eating with their mouths open, and slurping soup make her cringe (as do a few particular swear words). Reality shows are her weakness (I.E Jon (or lack there of) and Kate Plus 8, Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes, 19 kids and Counting, but Keeping up with the Kardashians and Kendra top the list!)
